In Our 20s started as a senior thesis sitcom that captures the chaotic brilliance of life’s most defining decade. Blending 90s nostalgia with modern slang and issues, the show follows six friends navigating the hilarious and heartfelt realities of early adulthood in the city.

INSPIRATIONS
In Our 20s draws inspiration from iconic ensemble sitcoms such as Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and Boy Meets World, as well as the character-driven comedies many of us grew up watching on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. These shows demonstrated how humor and heartfelt storytelling can capture the realities of growing up while creating lasting connections with audiences.
The vision for In Our 20s was to create a series that resonates with viewers navigating the uncertainty, growth, and relationships that define early adulthood. At its core, the show aims to offer both relatability and comfort -reminding audiences that while everyone’s path through their twenties is unique, the challenges and experiences that shape us are often shared.

THE PITCH. What started as just a friend telling another friend their dream from the night before turned into a reality. Just a few months later, a script was written, and In Our 20s was born!
PRODUCTION. Filming began at the end of March 2025, opening with 2 full live studio audiences. We shot in front of a live audience to use the organic sound of human laughter. About a month later, we found ourselves shooting off-site at 2 different locations. We shot our bar scenes at a local bar, "Totally Awesome Bar."
THE LAUNCH. The pilot episode exploded onto the scene, finding an overnight audience that instantly connected with our messy reality. Winning 4 awards from just its first 2 festivals! Those awards include Best Web Series, Best LGBTQ Film, and Audience Choice Award.
SCALING UP. From student film to a full-blown lifestyle brand. Episode 2 will be filmed in spring 2026 with the cast everyone knows and loves, and some new faces on the crew. We expanded our universe by launching our first official merch collection, letting the fans wear the nostalgia and support the community we've built together.
